BEA is heading into schools to teach students and teachers how to recognize epilepsy and respond with confidence, not fear.

A lot of what makes epilepsy hard to live with is not the condition itself. It is what happens in the room when a seizure occurs. The stares. The fear. The myths. We are going directly into schools to change that narrative early. Students and teachers will learn what epilepsy actually is, how to recognize a seizure, how to help, and why the person having one needs support, not shame.
